Atkheliyaan....

Gori jo aawat hai, man chalkat jaawat hai,
gori ki hansi, maano ho swarg ki pari,
saiyaan se apne woh nazrein churaawat hai,
par saiyaaan ko chup se woh dekhan jo laagat hai...

chan-chan chun-chun payal chankaati woh,
man mein mayoor khul khul kar jo naachat hai,
laton ko apne woh surkh gaalon par laawat hai,
saiyaan ke man ko woh bhaanti lalchaawat hai...

tuk-tuk apni nazrein gadaaye pade hain,
saiyaan ab apni palkein bichaayein khade hain,
balkhaati ithlaati gori ab nazdeek jo aawat hai,
dono ki dhadkan badhti hi jaawat hai...

saiyaan gori ko jabran jo pakdat hai,
naazuk kalaayi " haay!! " uski marodat hai,
gori sharmaayi, woh bhi muskuraawat hai,
ghoonghat jo uska mukh ko chupaawat hai...

saiyaan ki baahein ab uska sahaara hai,
gori ka sharmaana saiyaan ko bhaata hai,
baaki khade chore mann jo jalaawat hain,
amma-dadi balaayi lene jo laagat hai...

naache murli ki dhun hoke baanwariya,
gori ko aaj na roko saanwariyaa,
krishna raadha saani jodi yeh laagat hai,
bhagwan inko ik dori mein baandhan hai...

hi pall.... must say.... a beautiful piece of work...

what goes on in the heart of a bride is one of the most complicated things... n beleive me... a groom could b willing to give everything to know her feelings... n it's these feelings that u have beautifully expained in these lyrics... i call these as 'lyrics' coz i am already humming these words in some uncomposed music... i get an instinctive hint of music from these words.. especially the "haay!!" just craves to serve as a climactic and tantalizing hault in a romantic music... i guess u have also composed some suitable music for these words....
good going...
n oh yeah... as u mention that most of the blog material is inspired from ppl around u... i wud love to know the preson who has inspired such romantic poetry in u ;-D ....

"jamuna ke teer baaje mridang...
kare hrishna raas radhika ke sang........"

hi.. pallavi..its a beautiful work of art dear..
On reading this it brings to my mind the historic madhubani paitings (miniature artwork) depicting the soulful motifs of krishna radhika... its so sensuous!!
The detailed description of the various "bhavs" and the "raas" between the two just reminds me of the vibrant colours of the painting which has come alive through your poetic drama...

The title "Athkheliyaan" is it self so sensuous and mesmirising that u forget about everything else and imagine about the various emotions, movements , and the subtle drama behind it...

Just a little suggestion ...send it somewhere.. where.. it grows in its own glory...

great work!!
